Ben Clayton is a driven, highly creative, filmmaker, inventor and artist; with a strong environmentally sustainable focus, and extensive knowledge of the media and design spheres; Social, Mobile, Online, TV, Film, Software, Electronic, Mechanical, and Industrial. He has a BSc and business Masters, and had the immense honour to work with some of Alberta’s and Canada’s best production and post crews during 3 installments, of the prestigious Women In The Directors Chair (WIDC) Training Workshops, attended Calgary Economic Development’s forward thinking, Alberta 3D “Film Production” Ready Conference; and understudied near 40 new media and digital film programs, at the luminary of art+science+technology+design research/production, Banff New Media Institute (BNMI); founded at, The Banff Centre, for the Arts. Ben has played many lead stage roles including; Bugsy in Bugsy Malone, Fagan in Oliver Twist, Ernest in The Importance of being Ernest, and George Gibbs in Our Town; and is set to star in upcoming screen projects, The Fear Front, We Are Justice Nation, and The Shell Fighters. Ben, a seasoned member in the start-up movement, has always been at the intersection of art, media, and technology; written business proposals, been awarded grants for media, technology, and cultural projects; and work with teams as diverse as fine art, digital media think tank and emerging robotic technologies. Having long-term interests in design, innovation, and altruism; Ben creates products, ecosystems, blurs human and computer, challenges norms; and strives to better our world for humanity.
